Hi, Matt! I loved you on the D-LIST, and I still do.
It's amazing how judgmental and cruel people can be when they don't know what the hell they're talking about. I'm astounded at the number of people who have apparently led spotless and virtuous lives!
How nice it must be to freely and with a clear conscience sling judgement at those who are merely perceived to have done wrong!
These veritable saints don't have the slightest bit of a clue as to what really happened, but oh my.
Aren't they quick with the verbal stones?
Enough about the slandering idiots. I'm a gay male who loves Kathy, I love you as well, and I'll continue to watch the show even though you won't be there anymore.

Long time no see -- I stumbled across your blog and thought I should say hi -- it's Kendra (married to Josh; friends of Dave and Katie). I know it's been a wild year for you, but you seem incredibly happy and energized. I admire your tenacity.
Josh and I are doing well. Our 30 second bio since we last saw you (at Cole's wedding). We have a two-year-old son, Holden; I'm sure you can guess that we adore him. After graduating from law school in 2003, we worked at big law firms for a few years, and then became law professors last year. We are currently at Penn State Dickinson School of Law, but next week we move to Grand Forks, ND, where we will be teaching at UND Law.
Congrats on the IronMan. That's a huge accomplishment! Good luck with everything and take care.

Hi Matt,
Do you have problems with your knees and back. I used to run but I had to stop because my knees were bothering me and then one day after running and stretching I had severe pain in my back trying to get off the couch. The doctor told me that it was from running, that it is not good for the body. I was crushing the disks in my lower back. Now I use an elliptical maching.
I just wondered if you have any problems, and if you've given any thought to more low-impact workouts.

The attention you receive is a direct consequence of your x-wife' success. Yet, you pretend to take the 'high road' while allowing an entire forum of people to trash your ex-wife in a forum that she cannot directly respond to.
The higher road would not be staying silent it would be activity discouraging such petty jabs at someone that you spent a great deal of time with and made a serious commitment to.
One thing that I find particularly strange about this blog is how quick some of the regular bloggers are to defend you and insult the authors (in extremely immature ways)of any comments that are not 100% positive. Do they not believe that you are capable of defending yourself?
Who is this Tai and what are they on?
Read Matt's blog. Ninety percent of it has nothing to do with Kathy G. It's about his triathlon.
You say his ex can't respond. WHAT??? All she has to do is create her own blog page and comment here if she likes. Besides, this not CNN and Larry King. Is it?
And maybe people are defending Matt ON OWN BLOG because outsiders (like yourself) are bringing up personal issues that are really none of your business and really don't belong here. I think the man just wants to do get on with his life. Maybe he makes a comment or two about the past, but Matt is clearly in the present. And he's winning. And, I for one, am rooting for him.
P.S. I found Matt's blog while searching for salad receipes. Go figure. But reading some of his posts have been very helpful to me in my current situation.

I wrote down my opinion -- just like you say everyone is entitled to. As for insiders and outsiders, we are all outsiders to somebody's personal life if we don't know them. I totally agree with arkin1968 post.

as a social scientist, i constantly find it intriguing how some women are drawn to men who they view as "misunderstood" or "rejected" by others (which is exactly why i read this blog)...
the constant need to 'save' a man...to 'really understand him' is rooted in self esteem issues...
it reminds me of women who write to inmates or marry those on death row (not that matt is in that category but none of these women actually know him).

He's a big boy I would think he can take care of himself. You don't seem to know where I'm coming from, you just assume. I would have written that comment if Mr. Moline was a woman.
I truely didn't like Tai's post. And was stating an opinion.
I'm of the internet age. I belong to a few internet groups that deal with weight loss and execerise (Body for life tracker.com is one). I write and post to people that I've never met in my life. And I don't think I need to save them.
I admire Matt's change -- he has made a complete 380 in his life -- losing weight and training for a his race. It's hard work, and I know for I'm doing the same thing (sans the triathlon). And I don't think you have to know somebody personally to admire their accomplishments.
Geez! And WE ALL have self-esteem issues, no matter who you are, so what a weird thing to say.

I don't get it? Why are you so upset Baron von Doodlehead? So Jerri has an opinion about a man that has DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in this world to deserve your loyalty other than be a second rate performer on a reality show. Get a frickin' life man! We may never know all the facts in this case but the one fact that we know is that he stole money (this is public knowledge) from his wife. I don't care if he returned i or he deserve or the California law says he's entitled to it, the fact is he STOLE. That should tell you something about the man's character. Why do we insist as a society to elevate these types of people to celebrity status? Now stop sitting there all alone in that empty room, listening to bad opera and flicking a lightbulb on and off and run to a local angry management session.
