Blog of Lies
One of the people that ADORES me called this site my "Blog of Lies". I like it so much it just might stick. I'm gonna start posting some pictures since some of you have been asking for them. Here's me after my most recent "incident" on my bike.
Here's me and some of my teammates (Kevin, Karen, Jen, and Dean) after the Oceanside 70.3 back in March. I went 5:51 on that day.

Blog of Lies - Bag of Flies, whatever, it's only words. Although I'm a fan of Kathy's standup - she IS funny - I am pleased to see you doing so well! I wish I worked and lived in LA because I would give you an IT job in a heartbeat. You'd be a great asset to our small software company.
He said, she said - who cares. Best of luck with your Ironman challenge next weekend!
Thanks Brenda. As for the job thing, I never really posted any updates to my hunt for a job. I'll get into that in more detail after Ironman but I'm happy to report that after a rough spot brought about by a lawsuit with a former client back in December, my consulting has been going so well that I am neither homeless nor starving. The miracles never cease.
Good luck next weekend, Matt. I, too, am doing my first IM at CDA. Scared/nervous and excited as I am sure you are as well. Here's to hoping the lake gets above 60 degrees, the bike has all downhills and the 26 miles feels like 2.6.
So Matt...what are you hiding! Clearly you are much thinner on top, but we can't see much of your bottom. Show us your bow-chicka- bow-bow bootie! BTW, Nice shot of your team infront of the porta-potties!
Okay so everyone has made their guesses about the downfall of your marriage.
I have to say that when it was told that you were stockpiling a secret money supply...all I could think about was the movie Sleeping with the Enemy. I was convinced that clearly you were getting ready to fake your own death and don a wig (ala Julia Roberts).
I'm not saying you were abused or anything. (But if I did actually SAY so...I could simply add an "allegedly" and make everything all better!)
Hey come on that shit is funny!
I enjoy Kathy, but hey...if you can't take it, then don't dish it out.
You look great, Matt. Good work.
You look ruggedly handsome and very happy-good for you.
The beard looks yummy!
Matt,
Glad to hear your business is going so well. I still might contact you for some contract work later. We are always looking for IT people who can talk to non-IT people and not make them look stupid..it is a gift you should be proud of.
Meanwhile, me and some of my friends will be looking to hear from you after your Ironman challenge this weekend. I think you are nuts for doing it, but more power to you!
Brenda
Matt:
I have noticed that both you and Kathy have what appear to be a tattoo or burns or scarring or something on your ring fingers. What's that all about?
I notice that ring thing on Kathy's finger last episode. I couldn't figure out what that was...
How in God's name can you be hurting for money???
Hey Matt, your transformation is so inspiring that I am going to my first CEA-How meeting this Tuesday. It's a small first step (after countless new beginnings), so I go in a bit skeptical...of my own ability to track with any weight loss program. I hope I can summon as much courage as you have. Congrats on your new life!!
Matt, I really liked watching you on D-list. You never got to say much on the show, but next to Kathy, who does?
In all this, it is Jessica that I feel the most sorry for. I used to be a personal assistant for a woman who was very much like Kathy. I can only imagine, with her ego, what she must be putting that poor woman through. Jessica probably takes the blame for everything and gets the credit for nothing.
